Winter’s Big Party February 20, 2010!

January 12, 2010, Muskegon, Michigan—The holidays are over, it’s a long time until spring and a serious case of the Winter Blahs are setting in for many. But wait, there’s hope because The Big Easy is coming back to Muskegon. Tickets are now available for February 20 “Mardi Gras Muskegon.” Back for a fourth year, this is a fund-raiser for Muskegon Summer Celebration.

The Oak Ridge Golf Club, 513 W. Pontaluna in Norton Shores, will be transformed into a slice of Bourbon Street from 7 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are limited and are now available for just $20 and include plenty of authentic New Orleans-style food provided by Above and Beyond catering, masks, beads, with music by The Rocket Fuel Haulers. Other fun things include a silent and live auction, prize wheel and a caricature artist. Bid on your choice of autographed memorabilia items from our artists, concert packages, unique experiences and many other “one of a kind” items available for bid. Experiences include everything from your chance to fly in an acrobatic airplane to a chance to have dinner in the Summer Celebration back stage compound. Plus, as an added bonus, all those that come to the event are entered to win a pair of 10-day Summer Celebration passes, valued at nearly $200.

“It’s a great event, everyone loves the music and food, plus thanks to the Muskegon businesses that support the event, we have some great items available in the auction. What a great way to warm up your winter, enjoy lots of Mardi Gras fun and help Summer Celebration continue to bring great entertainment to our community” said Tanya Gonzalez, Assistant Executive Director of Muskegon Summer Celebration. Plans are already underway for the 18th annual Summer Celebration June 24-July 4 in downtown Muskegon.
